How to judge a water damage provider yourself
We do not publish reviews on this site yet. Real reviews will be added later, each with a link to its public source. Until then, here is how to check a provider yourself.
Do your homework
How to judge who you hire.
Check insurance and WorkSafeBC
Ask for proof of liability insurance and active WorkSafeBC coverage. If asbestos removal is involved, ask for their WorkSafeBC asbestos abatement licence, required in BC since 2024.
Get a written scope and quote
Ask for what is included, the equipment and days of drying expected and how extra work is approved before it starts.
Ask for moisture readings
A provider should record starting and final moisture readings, and show you the dry target and photos.
Check public reviews and references
Look at reviews on independent sites, read the recent ones and ask for references from similar jobs.
Water damage in Richmond? Send an enquiry
Tell us what happened and where. We'll try to connect you with an independent provider who can assess the damage and quote the work. If water is still coming in, call your insurer's emergency line or a restoration company directly. Do not wait for us.
Call the number at the top of the page, send the form or email us. Providers set their own prices.
